“We Jeddahns are like fish, we can not be far from its sea for a long time”, a well-known saying between the people of Jeddah.
This majestic city pulses deep through history’s bottommost, being the entrance of Makkah. These pulses backpropagates from the ancient bottoms to the highs of the breathing-taking future. It’s a city where all colors and ethnicities combine to produce a miraculous compound؛ The place where lovers meet and dreamers dream. Jeddah is different, Jeddah is different.
Mohammed Albukairy (A Saudi Journalist) once said: Jeddah remains the city of dreamers. And the passers-by. Longing for strangers. And a meeting of loved one.
For me, personally, I feel like this city runs through my veins. I love its humidity in the summer, and its breeze in the winter. I support Al-Ittihad, l like Al-Ahli, and I can not live without Al-Baik’s Musahhab. It’s corniche is the place where I go when I feel sad. The sunset in Jeddah’s corniche is an experience that I will have within me forever. Also, Jeddah never sleeps. I go out sometimes after midnight and I see the people everywhere. I go to Al-Balad from time to time with my family to know more about the history of this city. Now, I’ll leave you with some pictures of Jeddah, captured through the lens of someone dear to me. My love, and hopefully, my future wife.
